He's got his arms around Holmes's waist but Holmes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side. Jack Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holmes connects with a body shot. Anderson takes a head kick and keeps coming.

We've been informed that Holmes has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Anderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Holmes can pounce on him.

Holmes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Anderson eats them both and turns towards Holmes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Holmes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Anderson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Anderson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reeves pulls Anderson in to control the position. Reeves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
