#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barnes defends it nicely. Barnes is looking for a counter combo. Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bones's hands. Barnes looks to land a combination but Bones avoids it well. Bones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barnes swats him away and circles back towards the center. Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Bones. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes lands with a good body shot. Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Barnes. Bones does a little dance to reset his feet. Bones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Barnes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miner thuds a left hand into Bones's body. Miner lands with a shot to the body. Miner misses with an uppercut. Bones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miner connects with a body shot that sends Bones's belly button to the back. Bones looks winded! Bones fails with the takedown. Bones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
#KD# Miner cracks Bones with a big right hand and Bones goes down!#ROC#Bones is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Miner is working Bones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bones is still in real trouble! Can Miner finish him? Miner scoring with some ground and pound. Bones wants to sweep but no luck. Miner trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miner throws a big right hand that misses. Bones seems to have recovered his senses. Miner trying to control but Bones is working from the bottom. Miner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #T1# Bones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miner throws a big right hand that misses. Bones pulls Miner in close to prevent any damage. Bones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miner controls the pace.#SUB2# Bones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miner postures up.
#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Miner smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Miner wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Miner scores with a jab to the jaw. Miner lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Bones head around and knocks him out cold! Miner hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercury misses with a straight left. Bones went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mercury on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.#CL2# Bones gets tackled into the cage by Mercury. Mercury maintains the clinch. Mercury misses with an elbow over the top. Bones has had enough of the clinch but Mercury keeps him there for the moment.#BC# Bones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bones moves in looking to clinch but Mercury pushes him off. A little jabbing left from Mercury on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Mercury is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bones. Mercury throws an overhand right that lands on Bones's shoulder, as Bones tries to avoid the shot. Bones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dolph Mercury seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mercury misses with a looping left. Mercury throws an off balance right hand

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bones wants to clinch up but Mercury keeps it at a distance. Bones looks to land a combination but Mercury avoids it well. #CL2# Mercury pushes Bones up against the cage in a clinch. Bones blocks an elbow strike from Mercury.

Mercury is pushing Bones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Mercury keeps control of Bones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mercury has Bones pressed against the cage, preventing Bones from circling away and getting back to striking at range. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mercury just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bones's brow. Mercury keeps control of Bones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bones tries to break free but Mercury pushes him back against the cage. Bones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mercury throws an elbow but it's blocked.

#BC# Bones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mercury throws a hook to the side of Bones's head but Bones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bones closes the distance looking to clinch and Mercury counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dolph Mercury dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2# Mercury misses the jab. Bones slips a straight right by Mercury. Bones tries to counter by clinching up but Mercury breaks away and moves out of range. Bones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mercury back to the cage. Bones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Bones tries to clinch but Mercury moves away and Mercury counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd cheers as Bones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mercury doesn't seem phased though. Bones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mercury swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mercury throws a hook but Bones avoids it easily. Mercury misses with a straight left. Mercury lands with an uppercut that bounces Bones off the cage and back into range. Mercury loads up on a big right hand but Bones slips the punch. Bones misses with a double jab
and Bones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice shot by Mercury. Mercury circles away from the clinch attempt.

Oh Bones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SU2# Mercury decides to take the fight back to the feet. #CL2# Mercury closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #BC# Bones manages to break the clinch.
Bones seems to have got his legs back now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#CL2# Mercury gets a clinch. Mercury throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Mercury is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bones.#KD2# Mercury waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Bones. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Bones to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
#T2##SU2# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mercury gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mercury misses with a looping left. Bones throws a series of strikes that have Mercury backpedaling.
Mercury throws the left hand but Bones avoids the punch easily.#KD2# Bones ducks straight into an uppercut from Mercury and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Bones manages to regain guard straight away.
#SU2# Mercury decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bones switches off momentarily and Mercury cracks him with a monster right hand! Bones topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Mercury dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Mercury!

Dolph Mercury decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Bones gets caught napping as Lightning dives in and scores a takedown. Bones manages to retain guard. Lightning working some strikes from top position. Lightning trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lightning lands a couple of digs. Lightning pushes down on Bones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bones keeping hold of Lightning's head, controlling as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lightning lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #SUB2# Lightning in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bones tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lightning!
