The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blank throws a body kick that misses. John lands a slapping body shot.
Blank looks to land a body kick but John moved away. Blank really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blank throws a push kick but John slaps the foot to one side. Blank gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Blank is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at AK Beasties that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Blank wants to get back to his feet but John is in a dominant position and won't allow it. John wants to control from the top but Blank keeps moving. Blank tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blank working a defensive guard here.
John is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Blank keeping moving, preventing John from controlling successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Billy Blank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blank staying out of range there. Blank takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Blank looks to land a body kick but John moved away. It seemed like John was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. John bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Blank is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. A lull in the action here.

John presses Kimbo Clark against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. John blocks an elbow strike. John scores with a hook to the body. John lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kimbo Clark backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by John. Kimbo Clark has John pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. John manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. With the fighters clinched against the cage, John creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kimbo Clark walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Kimbo Clark limp body while John jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John moves into the clinch. John works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. John preventing the sweep. Okafor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Okafor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. John doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. John manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Okafor trying to strike off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John is fighting to break Okafor's control of his arms but Okafor is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okafor is looking to stand up but John isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Okafor fails with a takedown attempt. Okafor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? John is fending him off so far but Okafor persists. Nope, John circles away and we're back to standing. John thows a left - swing and a miss! Okafor doesn't succeed with the takedown and John counters with a crisp right hand that drops Okafor! John lets Okafor back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like John Okafor has been cut. Russian John has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Okafor. John avoids the body shot from Okafor.
John rushes Okafor and presses him up against the cage. A short body shot lands from John as the two fighters clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John tries for a takedown but Zudev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A jab from John does it's job there. Konstantin Zudev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zudev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zudev closes the distance and clinches up with John, looking for a takedown. Zudev pushes John against the cage but John circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. John just misses with a punch to the body.
John connects with a body shot that sends Zudev's belly button to the back. John cracks a nice hook into Zudev's ribs. John fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. John forces Zudev back against the cage and clinches. John working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short uppercut from John. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! John lands with a left to the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by John. John sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. John tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. John lands a body shot.
John fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown. John tries to sprawl out of it but Emelianenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. John manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Emelianenko tries to clinch but John moves away and John counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko misses with a takedown and John counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. John uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
