The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dazz clinches.
Cuesta misses with some punches.
Dazz managing to block the knees to the body from Cuesta.
Cuesta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dazz walks away with a smile on his face. Cuesta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dazz tries for a takedown but Cuesta sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cuesta misses with a takedown
and Dazz counters with a left to the body.
Dazz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Cuesta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dazz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dazz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cuesta walks into a jab.
Cuesta misses with a shot to the body
and Dazz counters by clinching up.
Dazz tries to score a body lock takedown but Cuesta shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Cuesta can't get the takedown.

Dazz keeps control of Cuesta as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cuesta with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Dazz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick from Dazz lands but Cuesta takes it in his stride.
Dazz closes the distance and clinches.
Dazz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dazz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dazz pulls guard successfully.
Cuesta pushes down on Dazz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dazz looks winded!
Cuesta wants to take a breather but Dazz is having none of it.
Cuesta is trying for a kimura here. Dazz looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Cuesta wins by kimura!

Dazz tries to sprawl but Branca drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dazz is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Branca lands strikes from half guard.
Branca winds up and cracks Dazz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nice strikes from Branca there.
Branca looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dazz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Branca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dazz trying to get back to full guard but Branca takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Branca has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dazz takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Branca's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
