The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee gets caught flat footed, as Hoxha shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hoxha stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position. Hoxha has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Montreal. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Hoxha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hoxha avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hoxha postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoxha engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lee looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoxha is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lee is working an open guard so Hoxha takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hoxha instigates a clinch. Hoxha gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.

With the fighters up against the cage, Lee throws an elbow but misses. Hoxha jumps guard.

Hoxha controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lee working away. Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lee throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Lee decides to stand back up. Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hoxha closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard. Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoxha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lee wants to stand but Hoxha is controlling the position. Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee has momentary wrist control but Hoxha slips an elbow through the middle. Hoxha lands a couple of elbows. Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hoxha manages to get himself to full guard.
Hoxha wants to stand up but Lee is controlling him. Hoxha has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lee is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hoxha closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hoxha lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hoxha wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position. Hoxha trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hoxha dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Hoxha's head and hops out. Lee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Hoxha fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Vasil Hoxha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoxha wants to land a leg kick but Lee is out of range. Lee throws a big counter combination but Hoxha scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lee has Hoxha up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hoxha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hoxha cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lee is rocked! Lee glances at the clock... BAM! Hoxha nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Lee crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Lee is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack has a takedown stuffed. Lee throws an overhand right that lands on Jack 's shoulder, as Jack tries to avoid the shot. Lee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jack on his heels. He'll look to pass Jack 's guard now, I'm sure. Jack has a closed guard, preventing Lee from standing up. Jack keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Jack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee wants to get up but he can't break Jack 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jack lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Lee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jack 's guard. Lee postures up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pukki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Pukki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And Pukki tries to counter it with a takedown but Lee pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pukki misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pukki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kyle Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jalmar Pukki. Lee lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lee. Nice sprawl there from Lee as Pukki shoots in. Lee fails with the takedown. Pukki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lee defends it well. Pukki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pukki has Lee in his guard. Lee pushes down on Pukki's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pukki tries to roll over but Lee keeps him under control. As Pukki backs away, Lee returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Pukki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pukki showed some decent athleticism there. Lee looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kyle Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pukki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kyle Lee. Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. It looks like Lee is going to stand back up.
Lee is pressing down on Of Trellheim's thigh, looking to free his foot. Of Trellheim is holding on for now. Of Trellheim is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard. Lee has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Of Trellheim is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ooooh, that looks tight… Of Trellheim is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Of Trellheim and Lee has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Of Trellheim sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Lee doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Of Trellheim paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Lee - great work!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee tries to clinch up. Jeffy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee gets caught napping as Jeffy dives in and scores a takedown. Lee manages to retain guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jeffy defends well. Jeffy controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jeffy's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee being controlled here, momentarily. Jeffy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. With the fighters up against the cage, Jeffy throws an elbow but misses. Jeffy blocks a body shot from Lee. Lee looking to stall.
Jeffy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lee uses from the top position.
