Griggs went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Rushe rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

A little feinted left hand from Rushe on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Darkholme thuds a left hand into Rushe's body. Darkholme lands a jab to the nose. Rushe tries to land a body kick and Darkholme counters with a nice uppercut. Nice defenses there by Darkholme. A clash of legs there as Darkholme blocks the low kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Darkholme. That's going to slow Rushe down. Rushe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rushe misses with a hook. Darkholme ducked under it nicely. Darkholme scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Darkholme scores with a nice right hand.

Kingsley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It appears Rushe was looking to counter with a kick there. Rushe cracks Kingsley with a good jab. Rushe lands with a cross. Kingsley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rushe wants to clinch#TD2# and Kingsley counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kingsley throws a big right hand that misses. Kingsley trying to control but Rushe is working from the bottom. #T1# Kingsley throwing strikes but missing. Rushe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kingsley is in close to Rushe's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kingsley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kingsley can do anything to dispel that myth. Rushe is just content to waste time from the top position. Kingsley takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Kingsley pulls Rushe in close to prevent any damage. #T3# Kingsley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rushe controls the pace. Kingsley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rushe is controlling him. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#KD# Griggs lands a left and a right that send Rushe crashing to the mat, dazed. Griggs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT#It looks like Antoine Rushe has been cut. Griggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rushe defending well as Griggs loads up on a big left hand. Rushe tries to counter with a clinch but Griggs shakes him off and moves away. Rushe moves out of range of the strikes. Rushe tries a low kick but Griggs avoids it. Griggs connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Griggs slips under a jab. Griggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A punch combination from Griggs misses. Rushe defending well as Griggs loads up on a big left hand. Griggs looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rushe takes one to the chin there.#T1# Griggs throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rushe is holding his hands too far apart here. Griggs throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Rushe is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
