#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watkins throws a combination that misses and Rockefeller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Watkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Watkins throws a combination that misses #KD# and Rockefeller counters with a big uppercut that knocks Watkins off his feet! Rockefeller dives into side control looking to finish! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Watkins wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Rockefeller definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Watkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rockefeller . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The ground and pound from Rockefeller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Watkins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rockefeller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Watkins pushes Rockefeller away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rockefeller gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Watkins is looking to reverse the position. Watkins on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Watkins struggling a bit here.#T1# Watkins is trying to improve his position. Rockefeller lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Rockefeller is looking to take a break and control but Watkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Watkins is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Rockefeller has just dragged him back down to the mat. Watkins tries to buck Rockefeller off but Rockefeller is having none of it.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rockefeller working the head with strikes. Rockefeller scoring with punches and elbows. Rockefeller scores with a couple of short elbows.#ROC#Watkins is rocked! Rockefeller wants to control but Watkins is keeping him busy. Watkins wants to get back to his feet but Rockefeller drags him back down. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Watkins can do anything to dispel that myth. Rockefeller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watkins keeps working. Watkins is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Rockefeller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rockefeller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watkins goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Johnson throws a hook to the side of Watkins's head but Watkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Johnson misses the jab. Johnson takes a swing at Watkins's ribcage but misses. Johnson lands a right hook to the body.
Watkins scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Johnson tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Watkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson. Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Watkins's belly button to the back. Johnson lands a really nice looking cross but Watkins seems unphased.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watkins throws a body shot but no joy. As Watkins looks to move away, Johnson throws a big counter combo but Watkins just gets out of the way. Johnson swinging wildly here.

Johnson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Johnson throws a right and a left that Watkins avoids nicely. Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.

Johnson tries to bum rush Watkins with a series of wild strikes but Watkins uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Watkins is looking for the big counter here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Watkins misses with a wild combination.

Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Watkins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watkins manages to avoid it. Johnson wants to clinch but Watkins slips to the side and Watkins counters with a nice uppercut. Johnson needs to keep his hands up - Watkins had a free shot at his head there.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Willy Watkins. Well Watkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
