The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boleslav tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Bassole manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bassole just misses with a punch to the body.
Bassole slaps away a takedown attempt from Boleslav, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boleslav misses with a takedown
and Bassole counters with a left to the body.
Boleslav tries to clinch up but Bassole circles away and keeps his distance.
Bassole lunges at Boleslav with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boleslav's hand.
Bassole lands with a hook. Boleslav tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #CL2#
Bassole closes the distance and clinches.
Boleslav is trying to push Bassole away but Bassole has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Boleslav drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bassole gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Innokenty Boleslav. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bassole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boleslav. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bassole looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Boleslav has picked Bassole up and slammed him! Bassole can't keep hold of the triangle and Boleslav manages to pass to side control!
Bassole is not content to let Boleslav control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Boleslav cracks Bassole with a big right hand but Bassole just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Bassole tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boleslav wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bassole seems a little lost for a moment, as Boleslav dominates the positioning.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.#SUB#
Boleslav wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bassole, who protects the arm well.
And that's the end of the fight!
Yero Bassole comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bassole has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Carter scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Carter controls the position from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boleslav takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Carter fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Carter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Carter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boleslav knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Boleslav is trying to control Carter's posture but Carter avoids it.

Boleslav is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Carter is staying active.

Boleslav is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carter dives into side control.

Boleslav parries the strikes from Carter easily there. Carter is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boleslav to escape.

Carter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boleslav for as long as he can get away with.

Carter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Boleslav is trying to control Carter's posture but Carter avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Boleslav to see if he's OK.
Carter moves into full mount!
Carter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boleslav has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Carter thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Boleslav wants to control but Carter is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Boleslav is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him?
