#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Corneille to score an easy takedown into full guard. Corneille is standing up over Smith. Smith looks to escape but Corneille dives into side control.
#REVR# Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Corneille has just dragged him back down to the mat. Corneille controls the position. Corneille postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Corneille has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Corneille connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Corneille politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Corneille prefers to stall for the moment though. Corneille throws a strike aimed at the side of Smith's head but Smith avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Corneille is staying tight to Smith's torso, preventing him from escaping. Smith can't do much from the bottom here. Smith tries to bench press Corneille off him but Corneille keeps the position. #T1# Corneille slows the pace down. Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position. Let's hope that Corneille has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like Corneille might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Corneille.#T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Corneille throws an elbow but Smith slips to the side and avoids it well. Corneille didn't see that one coming. Smith connects with a body shot that sends Corneille's belly button to the back. The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land. And Corneille tries to counter it with a takedown but Smith pushes his down on his head and steps out. Corneille shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Corneille's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Smith throws a hook but Corneille blocks it. A big left from Smith misses. Hank Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Corneille's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Corneille scrambles back to his feet. Corneille tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Smith looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Hank Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T4# Smith misses with a wild combination.

Corneille is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Hank Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dany Corneille. Still in the clinch, Smith scores with a nice short uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith scores with a shot to the side of Corneille's head. Smith is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circle momentarily. Smith darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Smith missing with a left hand there. Corneille was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Everett looks to score with a jab to the body but Corneille is just out of range. Everett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Corneille keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Corneille feints the counter takedown. We've been told by Everett's head coaches at HAHAHAHAAHAA PHILANTHROPIC GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Corneille shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#CL# Everett darts in and clinches Corneille up against the cage.#TD2# Everett is fighting off a takedown attempt but Corneille is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Everett to the mat. Everett regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Corneille is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Everett doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corneille drives through with a takedown into guard. Corneille content to stall in guard here. Stroker is looking to stand up but Corneille isn't so interested in that idea. Corneille sitting in guard here, content to control. Stroker has his foot on Corneille's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Corneille works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stroker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Corneille is one step ahead there. Corneille stays in close to Stroker's body and controls the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corneille has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Stroker shoots in looking for a takedown. Corneille tries to sprawl out of it but Stroker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corneille manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A looping hook to the body misses from Stroker. He lands one big shot that has Stroker covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
