Corneille is standing up over Smith. Smith looks to escape but Corneille dives into side control.

Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Corneille has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Corneille controls the position.
Corneille postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Corneille has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Corneille connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Corneille politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Corneille prefers to stall for the moment though.
Corneille throws a strike aimed at the side of Smith's head but Smith avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Everett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Corneille keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Corneille feints the counter takedown.
We've been told by Everett's head coaches at HAHAHAHAAHAA PHILANTHROPIC GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Everett is fighting off a takedown attempt but Corneille is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Everett to the mat. Everett regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
