The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Sucre lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
De Sucre lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
De Sucre lands a two punch combo.
Avetisyan tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. De Sucre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A nice side step and De Sucre releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Avetisyan looks to clinch
and De Sucre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
De Sucre scores with a kick to the body.

De Sucre fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Avetisyan, pushing him back against the ropes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Avetisyan sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Avetisyan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
A punch combination from Avetisyan misses.
Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Avetisyan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Avetisyan manages to break the clinch.

and Avetisyan counters with a two punch combo.
Narek Avetisyan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Johnson .
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Avetisyan shows good takedown defense.
Avetisyan seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Avetisyan moves into the clinch.
Avetisyan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

and Avetisyan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson 's guard.

Johnson wants to sweep here but Avetisyan controlling him for the moment.
Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Avetisyan defends well.

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Avetisyan tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Avetisyan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Avetisyan avoids it really well and circles away.

Avetisyan is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Avetisyan down to the mat. Avetisyan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
Avetisyan lands a hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Avetisyan lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Avetisyan takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jon Johnson has been cut.
Narek Avetisyan is winning the standup battle so far.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Avetisyan counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
