Nelson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nelson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Nelson feints and then cracks Mcminny's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mcminny down. Mcminny shoots and misses and Nelson counters with a three punch combo that has Mcminny backing up. Mcminny nods at Nelson to acknowledge the strikes. Mcminny wants to clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nelson slips under a jab. The crowd cheers as Nelson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mcminny chips away with some ground and pound. Mcminny is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mcminny postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Mcminny with a flurry of punches that miss. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nelson wants to stand but Mcminny is controlling the position.
