The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barthelemy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pollack did well to prevent Barthelemy getting side control.
Pollack holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Pollack's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Barthelemy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pollack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Barthelemy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Pollack is looking to get back to full guard here but Barthelemy has managed to pass to side control instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yordani Barthelemy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
