McManus tests Gerges's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gerges tries to close the distance and clinch but McManus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McManus stalks McFatass and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McFatass's face. McFatass staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Fatty McFatass has been cut. McFatass's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McManus connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McFatass scrambles back to his feet. McManus goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! McFatass takes a shot right to the bread basket. McManus wants to clinch. McFatass with a lazy takedown attempt and McManus counters with a three punch combo that has McFatass backing up. McFatass nods at McManus to acknowledge the strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McManus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Mitch Andrews has been cut. McManus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Andrews shoots for a takedown but McManus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Andrews showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McManus.
Andrews dives in for a single leg takedown but McManus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Andrews fails with a takedown attempt. Andrews trying to control the position from guard on top but McManus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McManus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas McManus dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mitch Andrews's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Andrews shoots in looking for a takedown. McManus tries to sprawl out of it but Andrews keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McManus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McManus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McManus dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Andrews takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Andrews shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McManus has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Andrews scores with a takedown into McManus's guard. Andrews trying to control but McManus is working from the bottom. Mitch Andrews overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McManus manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's going to take a lot out of him.

Andrews could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McManus drops Andrews with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Andrews looks back up at him and smiles so McManus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Andrews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McManus tries to avoid it but Andrews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McManus to the ground. McManus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andrews is trying hard to land a takedown here. McManus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McManus connects with a stiff jab that staggers Andrews - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mahoe closes this distance looking for a takedown but McManus circles away. McManus misses with a double jab
and Mahoe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mahoe misses with a double jab.
Mahoe clobbers McManus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. McManus keeps the fight on the outside. McManus feinted with a counter takedown. McManus loads up on a big right hand but Mahoe slips the punch. Mahoe misses with an uppercut. Mahoe throws a body shot but no joy. McManus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mahoe, pushing him back against the cage. McManus lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mahoe backwards.
It looks like Maleko Mahoe has been cut. A short right from McManus. McManus lands with a short shot to the head. Mahoe misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McManus stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Mahoe looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A short right from McManus. McManus throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

McManus lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. McManus lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. McManus lands an uppercut.
Mahoe is rocked! McManus dips a shoulder and cracks Mahoe with a mighty uppercut! Mahoe falls back against the cage and McManus unloads with a barrage of strikes! Mahoe is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - McManus screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
