Big looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Reed is breathing heavily. Big cracks Reed with a right hand to the side of the head. Reed misses with a straight right. Big works the jab nicely. Big with the inside leg kick. Reed swings widly with a right hand
letting Big counter with a right hand. Big lands a leg kick that knocks Reed off balance momentarily. Big cracks Reed with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Big connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#ROC2#Reed is rocked! Reed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Sparring in the buildup to the fight. Big lands with a nice body punch. Oh Reed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! Reed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Sparring in the buildup to the fight. Reed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Curtis. Reed blocks a jab. Curtis misses the jab. Reed moves out of range as Curtis strikes. Curtis throws an overhand right that lands on Reed's shoulder, as Reed tries to avoid the shot. Curtis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reed. Reed cracks Curtis with a right hand to the side of the head. Reed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Curtis lands with a nice body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reed slips under a jab from Curtis. Curtis misses with a looping left. Reed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Reed misses the shot to the body. A short left from Reed. Reed digs a right hand into Jo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jo's gas tank. Reed lands a shoulder strike. Reed lands with a short head shot on the inside. Reed working some nice short punches in the clinch. A short right from Reed. Jo is still on wobbly legs! Can Reed finish him? With the fighters clinched against the cage, Reed creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Jo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Reed after a bit of a struggle. Reed lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jo backwards. Reed working some nice short punches in the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Reed. Jo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Reed gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Good body shot from Reed.
Jo seems to have recovered his senses. Reed pushes Jo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reed softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Reed lands a nice shot to the body. We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Reed misses the jab. Uroway staying out of range there. Uroway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reed moves away. Reed misses the shot to the body. Uroway drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Reed defends it well. Reed throws the left hand but Uroway avoids the punch easily. And Uroway tries to counter it with a takedown but Reed pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zven lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Reed throws out a loose jab but Zven uses good head movement to avoid it. Zven misses with a looping right. Reed throws a shot from downtown. Zven moves away and avoids it. Reed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Big Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Reed misses. Zven scores with a nice strike. Reed bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Reed drops Zven with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zven looks back up at him and smiles so Reed waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action! Zven moves away from the strike by Reed. Zven doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Reed looks to land a right hand but Zven moved out of range. Reed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Reed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
