The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakuraba throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jansen was covering up waiting for the punch and Sakuraba finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sakuraba makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sakuraba with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen cracks Vieira with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Vieira drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jansen lands a right hook to the body.
Jansen sizes up Vieira with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A left and a right from Jansen both land. Nice combination.
Vieira is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Jansen lands with a hook. Vieira tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jansen connects with a body shot.
Vieira takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jansen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vieira connects with a nice short shot to Jansen's temple.

Luuk Jansen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Luuk Jansen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
