Vice tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gutierrez's elbow. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gutierrez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. #CUT#It looks like Lee Vice has been cut. Vice wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
#TD# Gutierrez pulls guard effortlessly. Vice wants to stand and escape but instead Gutierrez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVR# Gutierrez sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vice is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Gutierrez forces his way into half guard.#SUB# Gutierrez seems to be working for a kimura but Vice defends the submission attempt. Gutierrez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Vice looks winded! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Pyke clinches. Vice prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pyke is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Vice wants to break free but Pyke has control.
Vice is looking to break free of the clinch but Pyke has double underhooks. Vice pushes Pyke back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Vice working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Pyke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vice pulls him back up using the underhooks. #TD2# Pyke gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Vice throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Pyke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Pyke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vice has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pyke has managed to get both his arms back between Vice's legs - danger averted. Pyke scoring with punches to the head and body. #SUB# Vice has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pyke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pyke is landing with some decent strikes but Vice is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pyke postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vice looks a forlorn figure.

Pyke unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Vice wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Pyke celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Vice goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#CUT2#It looks like Jesse Wylde has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Wylde looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wylde throws a right and a left that Vice avoids nicely. #CL2# Wylde tries to keep at a distance but Vice has taken the fight into the clinch.#BC2# Vice breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL2# Vice has closed the distance and engaged Wylde in a clinch.

Vice throws a nice looking combination but Gregor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gregor feinted with a counter takedown. Gregor dodges the punch combination from Vice.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vice shoots in for a double leg but Gregor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short left from Gregor. Vice tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gregor smiles and moves away.
