The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruff lands an overhand right.
The Hammer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nice uppercut there from Gruff.
Gruff jabs The Hammer right on the nose. The Hammer blinks but takes it well.#KD#
Gruff drops The Hammer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but The Hammer looks back up at him and smiles so Gruff waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Hammer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gruff counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks The Hammer out cold! What a finish! Gruff is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shaun Gruff!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deuce tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gruff was well out of range. Poor timing from Deuce.#TD2#
Gruff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Deuce on his heels. He'll look to pass Deuce's guard now, I'm sure.#ES#
Deuce is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gruff is pressed up against the cage. Deuce has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gruff down to the mat. Gruff avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gruff wants to clinch
and Deuce counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gruff's knee momentarily.
Gruff shoots in and drives through. Deuce sprawls well.
Deuce appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Deuce displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gruff. #CL2#

Deuce wants to take the fight to the mat but Gruff manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.#TD#
Deuce ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Deuce no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Deuce is pulling down on Gruff's head. It's preventing any offense from Gruff, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gruff trying to control the position from guard on top but Deuce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gruff throws a big right hand that misses.
Deuce bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gruff's guard. #REVR##T2#

Deuce drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Deuce jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gruff controls Deuce momentarily but Deuce frees himself.
Gruff tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gruff wants to stand but Deuce is controlling the position.
Deuce is pushing down on Gruff's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gruff is fighting to maintain full guard but Deuce has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gruff is concentrating on defense, preventing Deuce from advancing position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Deuce in particular looking to stall.#SUB#
Deuce is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gruff has managed to free his arm - good work. #T3#
Deuce is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Deuce looking to control but Gruff is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Gruff is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Deuce thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
