#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abdullaev wants to clinch but White slips to the side and White counters with a nice uppercut. A big left from White misses. Abdullaev lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Abdullaev with a poor takedown and White counters with a nice body shot. White scores with the left hand. Abdullaev knows he should have avoided that one. Abdullaev ducks under a wild hook from White. White seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. White throws an overhand right that lands on Abdullaev's shoulder, as Abdullaev tries to avoid the shot. And Abdullaev tries to counter it with a takedown but White pushes his down on his head and steps out. White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Abdullaev misses with a takedown attempt and White counters with a crisp right that sends Abdullaev to the canvas! White follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL2# Abdullaev moves into the clinch. Durant is trying to maintain a safe position but Abdullaev gets an underhook and turns Durant into the cage.#TD2# Abdullaev has hold of one of Durant 's legs. Durant is fighting the takedown attempt but Abdullaev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Durant is looking to stand up but Abdullaev isn't so interested in that idea. Abdullaev looking to pass the guard. Durant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abdullaev on the ground. Abdullaev stops Durant from standing up. Abdullaev connects with a couple of short punches. Abdullaev sitting in guard here, content to control. Abdullaev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Abdullaev sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durant wants to stand and escape but Abdullaev is having none of it. Abdullaev wants to pass the guard but Durant is keeping the position.#SUB2# Abdullaev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #T1##ES# Durant pushes Abdullaev off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Durant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Durant throws a looping overhand right but Abdullaev ducks down to avoid it. #TD2# Abdullaev shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Abdullaev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. #ROC2#Durant is rocked!#SUB2# Abdullaev is trying for a kimura here. Durant looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Abdullaev wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Murad Abdullaev! A very excited looking Murad Abdullaev rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |
