#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Achilles with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kerel to score with a decent uppercut. Achilles looks to land a combination but Kerel avoids it well. Kerel seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Kerel misses the jab. Achilles just misses with a punch to the body.
Kerel takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Achilles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.#CL# Kerel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Achilles, pushing him back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Kerel fails to land. A head punch on the inside from Kerel fails to land. Achilles jumps guard but Kerel stands there with Achilles around his waist. Achilles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kerel keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL# Last pushes Kerel up against the cage in a clinch. Last comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. #CUT#It looks like Karel Kerel has been cut.#TD2# Kerel pulls guard effortlessly. Kerel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Last sitting in guard here, content to control. #SUB2# Kerel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Last defends it easily. Kerel is trying to control the position but Last postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Kerel throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
#SUB2# Kerel is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Last frees his head nicely. Oh but Kerel has switched to an armbar! Last is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kerel scores with a sloppy right hand. Smith should have avoided that one. Smith has a takedown stuffed. Kerel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head. Dave Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kerel connects with a body shot that sends Smith's belly button to the back. Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kerel drops Smith with a straight right hand, right on the button! Kerel follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karel Kerel! During a confident post fight interview, Karel Kerel thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. |

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from De Vries finds it's target. De Vries misses with a few strikes there.
Kerel fails with an attempt to clinch.
De Vries throws a combination. Kerel tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kerel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De Vries was well out of range. Poor timing from Kerel. Kerel takes a body punch but keeps moving. De Vries takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.#CUT#It looks like Ambroos De Vries has been cut. De Vries uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kerel.
De Vries tries to counter with a clinch but Kerel shakes him off and moves away. De Vries keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kerel.#CL# Kerel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kerel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kerel being controlled against the cage.#TD# Kerel jumps guard and drags De Vries to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. #SUB# Kerel is looking to cinch up a triangle. De Vries throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kerel's body to avoid the submission. Kerel has instead reached around De Vries's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kerel arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A very excited looking Karel Kerel made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
