#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbot tries to clinch up.#CL2# Abbot clinches up against the ropes.#TD2# Abbot works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. George preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Abbot landing with the ground and pound. George working a defensive guard but Abbot passes into half guard.
Abbot should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. George is staying active underneath Abbot, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Abbot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. George wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abbot drops an elbow to the side of George's head. Abbot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Abbot takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.#T1# Abbot stalling. George taking some punishment here, with Abbot in his half guard. George wants to improve his position but Abbot is controlling well.

Abbot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Abbot is controlling the pace.
Abbot thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed George's head. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Abbot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Abbot winds up and cracks George with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Abbot slows the pace down in half guard. George is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Abbot scores with a couple of nice shots. George has his hands clasped together around Abbot's back. He's all about the action. Abbot stalling. #T3##SUB2# Abbot in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. George tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Abbot!
