Rob tries a head kick but it misses.
Bones throws a sloppy head kick and Rob cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rob but Rob pushes him off and we're back to square one. A little jabbing left from Rob on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Bones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rob defends well and Bones ends up having to push Rob into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rob looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bones tries to clinch but Rob is having none of it. Rob raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bones doesn't succeed with the takedown#KD2# and Rob counters with a head kick that drops Bones! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Bones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rob missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bones tries to get out of the position. As Healthy Rob got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I want to say thank you mom for buying me my boxing gloves. And I want to say thanka to Alex Harvey for giving me a contract after I sucked his dick'. Jon Bones was interviewed post fight and said 'I was robbed, shit judging, Alex is a bummy bum.'. |

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bones shoots in looking for a takedown but Rob manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rob is breathing heavily.#CL2# Bones has managed to clinch.
Bones has Rob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.#TD2# Bones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rob regains guard immediately. Bones forces his way into half guard. Bones sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Bones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rob defends it well. #T1# Bones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. and Rob counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bones is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jon Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rob keeping moving, preventing Lobos from controlling successfully. Lobos controls from within his opponent's guard. Rob wants to improve his position but instead Lobos has moved into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lobos throws a big elbow that misses. Rob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lobos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #T1# Rob wants to improve his position but instead Lobos has moved into half guard.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rob lands with a shot to the body. Rob falls off balance throwing a combination
#TD# and Rue counters with a single leg into guard. Rob didn't expect that. Rue advances to half guard. Rob wants to improve his position but Rue is controlling well.
Rue wants to pass the guard but Rob is defending well. Rue with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rob tries to roll over but Rue keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rue is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rue really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rue seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rob for as long as he can get away with. Rue has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.#T1# Rob trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Rue manages to pass to mount!

#CL# Costa pushes Rob up against the cage in a clinch.#BC2# Rob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Costa dodges the punch combination from Rob.
Costa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rob sprawls and moves away. Costa ducks under a wild hook from Rob. Rob looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Costa connects with a crisp jab. Nice sprawl there from Rob as Costa shoots in. Rob throws a sloppy head kick and Costa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rob shoots in looking for a takedown but Costa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rob's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
