Al shoots for a double leg takedown but McCooter sprawls well. He's pushed Al's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McCooter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Al can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Al has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McCooter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Al is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McCooter pulls down on the head and he's put Al to sleep! This one is all over!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Star has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Patrick Star had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 158.7, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Phillip McCooter was cancelled.

McCooter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. jo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

jo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and McCooter counters with a left and a right that stings jo.
