Lakatos is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kellog has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Lakatos has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kellog taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Lakatos doesn't care though - he's delighted!

In defeat, Darren Kellog stepped up to the mic, saying 'I don't care, a loss is a number, i will bounce back.'.

Halbert darts in looking for a takedown but Kellog gets double underhooks and turns Halbert into the cage.
Halbert is breathing heavily.
Halbert avoids a punch combination nicely.
Halbert shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kellog pinned against the cage. Kellog gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kellog throws a head kick but Halbert moves out of range.
Kellog lands a nice shot to the body.
Halbert takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Halbert gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kellog throws a leg kick which misses Halbert's front leg but catches the back leg as Halbert tries to avoid it.
Kellog tries to bum rush Halbert with a series of wild strikes but Halbert uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Darren Kellog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kellog lands a head kick!
Kellog misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kellog.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kellog Throws a clean left jab. Kellog Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Halbert's chin! Halbert crumbles to the ground and Kellog follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Kellog!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Darren Kellog!
Darren Kellog was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
