Donaldson ducks right into an uppercut from Wyatt. #CUT2#It looks like Tom Donaldson has been cut.
Wyatt drops Donaldson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Wyatt follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bertrand Wyatt!
Bertrand Wyatt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyatt scores with a jab to the jaw.
Wyatt bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
White throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wyatt on the side of the head.
White throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
White waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wyatt.
Wyatt throws a hook but White avoids it easily.
White shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wyatt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White.
White throwing a counter right hand but Wyatt manages to avoid it.
Wyatt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
White on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wyatt tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wyatt somewhat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
White misses with a body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Wyatt as he connects with a hook.
White throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wyatt is clearly trying to counter these attacks from White with a body shot.#T1#
White throws a big shot that misses.
Wyatt connects with a solid leg kick.
Wyatt fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and White has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A good leg kick by Wyatt.
A punch lands to the side of White 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wyatt misses with a leg kick.
Wyatt dives in for a single leg takedown but White sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Wyatt scores with a push kick.
White slips under a jab from Wyatt.
Wyatt swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by White.
Wyatt misses with an uppercut. White saw that one coming.
Wyatt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and White counters with a stiff right hand.
White keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
White takes one to the side of the head.

A very excited looking Thor White made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. |

Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Wyatt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#CUT#It looks like Colt Jones has been cut.
Wyatt takes a swing at Jones 's ribcage but misses.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Jones moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wyatt throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wyatt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Jones counters with a big right hand! Oh Wyatt is in trouble here! Jones follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Colt Jones opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. |

The fight stays on the outside here - Lima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lima tries to clinch up but Wyatt circles away and keeps his distance.
Lima looks to clinch #KD#
and Lima is countered with a crisp right hand from Wyatt that sends him to the canvas! Wyatt follows him to the mat into side control. #ROC#Lima is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Anderson Lima has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#SUB#
Wyatt has hold of Lima's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lima tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wyatt cranks the arm and Lima screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lima, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bertrand Wyatt!
Bertrand Wyatt tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. |
