#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okada moves forwards but Madival connects with a nice, crisp jab. Madival is trying hard to land a takedown here. Okada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Madival lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Madival shoots in but no luck this time. Okada throws a front kick that sends Madival stumbling back into the cage.#TD# Madival closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Okada to the mat! Okada manages to get full guard. Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Tokyo inform us that Okada has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?#SUB2# Okada working for submissions but it's allowed Madival to get to half guard.

Henderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Okada is controlling him. #SUB2# Okada is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #ES# Henderson pushes Okada off and scrambles back to his feet.
Okada fails to land with a series of punches.
Henderson is looking to clinch. Okada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henderson circles away quickly and effectively. Henderson thinks about countering with a head kick. Okada throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Henderson has Okada pressed against the cage, preventing Okada from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Henderson stalling the fight.

Okada is trying to drag Henderson to the mat but Henderson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Howse manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.#BC# Howse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#TD2# Howse gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Okada to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Okada stops Howse from standing up. Howse utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Okada postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Okada missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #SUB2# Okada has gone for a leg lock! Howse slips out almost immediately though and dives into Okada's guard.#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howse wants to get up but he can't break Okada's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Howse definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#T1##SUB2# Okada is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB2# Okada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Howse is aware though and is defending well. Okada is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Okada throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Howse sees it coming and avoids it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! A decent looking body kick lands there for Howse. Okada looks winded! Okada misses with a double jab.
