Masvidal bucks up and tries to throw Koscheck Jr off but instead Koscheck Jr has got his back! The referee is taking a good look at Masvidal as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Koscheck Jr!
Koscheck Jr is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Masvidal up.
Koscheck Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Masvidal is trying to break free.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koscheck Jr has a takedown stuffed. Sinclair lands a jab to Koscheck Jr's midsection. Koscheck Jr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sloppy strikes from Sinclair. Those never looked like landing. Koscheck Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinclair but Sinclair pushes him off and we're back to square one. Itchy Sinclair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Koscheck Jr.#TD2# Koscheck Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sinclair's guard. Koscheck Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sinclair avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koscheck Jr throwing strikes but missing. Koscheck Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koscheck Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Koscheck Jr is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Koscheck Jr is trying to control but can't.
Koscheck Jr tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Baguetti wants to take a breather but Koscheck Jr is having none of it. Koscheck Jr tries to roll over but Baguetti keeps him under control. Koscheck Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Baguetti is working away from the top position though.
