Khan follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Slavoski throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Leopoldo seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. A swing and a miss from Slavoski. Leopoldo is looking to counter the offense by Slavoski and move into the clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Leopoldo. Slavoski does a little dance to reset his feet. A swing and a miss from Slavoski. Slavoski throws a jab but it's blocked by Leopoldo. Slavoski thows a left - swing and a miss! Slavoski misses with an uppercut

Leopoldo throws a looping overhand right but Slavoski ducks down to avoid it. Slavoski looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Slavoski might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Slavoski cracks Leopoldo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Leopoldo falls backwards against the cage. Slavoski follows up with more strikes that drop Leopoldo to his knees. Slavoski keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Leopoldo! This one is all over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leopoldo darts in and out, connecting with a jab. #CUT#It looks like Killer Itaca has been cut.#KD# Leopoldo lands a big right hand that sends Itaca crashing to the mat! Leopoldo stays standing though and waves Itaca back to his feet! Itaca throws a lazy head kick and Leopoldo rattles Itaca with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Itaca tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Leopoldo dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Itaca stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyrone Leopoldo! Tyrone Leopoldo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. |
