John looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but John circles away quickly and effectively. John lands a slapping body shot.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#CL2# John gets tackled into the ropes by Hall. Hall maintains the clinch. John lands a body punch. John tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hall's elbow. Both fighters working to control the clinch. John scores with a shoulder strike. Hall is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but John is keeping busy. A short uppercut from John. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hall takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hall tries to land knees in the clinch but John avoids the damage to the body. Hall throws an elbow but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Hall jumps guard and drags John to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Hall has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Arcalimon Top Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
