And an attempted straight right on the counter from Core! But no joy. Spindley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Core has his takedown stuffed and Spindley counters with a straight right hand. Spindley throws a series of punches but Core avoids them all with ease. Core throws out a counter right but Spindley avoids it with no problem.#CL2# Core moves into the clinch successfully.
Spindley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Core drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spindley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Core has Spindley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Spindley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Harvey Spindley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Core. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Core is looking for a takedown. Core wants to take the fight to the mat but Spindley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.#T1# Spindley blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Spindley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Core has him pressed against the cage. Core pushes Spindley back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Core drops down looking for an ankle pick but Spindley pulls his leg out and moves away.
Core shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spindley but Spindley pushes him off and we're back to square one. Core goes for a double leg but Spindley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spindley continues to drive forward. Spindley moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Spindley feints a jab promting Core to slip. Spindley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Core slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#CL2# Spindley tries to keep at a distance but Core has taken the fight into the clinch. Spindley looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Core looking for a takedown. Core looks winded! Core tries to pull guard but Spindley holds him up against the cage and eventually Core drops back down to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spindley moves to clinch but Core breaks away enabling Core to counter with a crisp jab. Spindley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Spindley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Core throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spindley 's waist but Spindley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Core off to one side. Core is still on wobbly legs! Can Spindley finish him? Harvey Spindley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Core shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Core takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick misses from Spindley . Core gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Spindley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Harvey Spindley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Core. Good work by Core as he checks the leg kick. Spindley lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Spindley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Spindley stuffs the takedown. A combination from Spindley does no damage. Core keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
#KD# Oooooh!!! Spindley has knocked Core down with a huge combo! Spindley steps away and waves a wobbly Core back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spindley looks to land a combination but Core avoids it well. Harvey Spindley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spindley throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Core crashing down! Core tries to stagger back to his feet but Spindley just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Core asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Spindley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Spindley ducks under a wild hook from Fungas. Fungas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spindley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Some wild striking there from Spindley .
Spindley tries to clinch but Fungas moves out of range. Spindley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Spindley swinging wildly here.

Spindley sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fungas checks a low kick from Spindley . Spindley throws a combination that misses and Fungas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fungas misses with a straight right. A swing and a miss from Fungas. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fungas thows a left - swing and a miss! Fungas thows a left - swing and a miss! Spindley misses with a leg kick. Fungas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Fungas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Spindley had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Spindley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fungas. Spindley misses with a low kick.

Spindley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fungas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Fungas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Spindley is breathing heavily. Spindley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fungas. This has been an exciting period of action! Fungas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Spindley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Oh Spindley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#T4# Spindley moves away from the strike by Fungas. Spindley seems to have got his legs back now. Fungas digs a good hook to Spindley 's body.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Spindley , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Spindley misses. Spindley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck O Donelly on the side of the head. Spindley misses with a double jab
#TD# and O Donelly counters with a single leg into guard. Spindley didn't expect that. O Donelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Spindley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. O Donelly pushes down on Spindley 's leg and manages to get into half guard. O Donelly is trying to control the action in half guard but Spindley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Spindley felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Donelly slips a nice elbow through Spindley 's hands, connecting with Spindley 's forehead.#SUB# O Donelly is trying for a kimura here. Spindley looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! O Donelly wins by kimura!

Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Spindley is quick to defend against it. Hines looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Spindley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hines.
Hines appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Sloppy strikes from Spindley . Those never looked like landing. Spindley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Spindley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
