Tree makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Tree throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Liamotti blocks it with crossed arms. Tree with a knee to the head.
Tree working some nice short punches in the clinch. Tree lands a body shot in the clinch.
Liamotti is breathing heavily. Stalling in the clinch from Tree.
#TD# Liamotti jumps guard and drags Tree to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. #SUB# Liamotti has his foot on Tree's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tree works his way back into a safe position though. Liamotti looking to control.
Tree controlling from the top position. Tree is looking to stand up but Liamotti won't let him. #T1# Liamotti is trying to keep Tree in close.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tree trying to stand up but can't free himself from Liamotti's guard. Liamotti throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. #SUB# Tree avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tree is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tree connects with a body shot that sends Liamotti's belly button to the back.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Oh Liamotti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tree ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Liamotti out cold! The fight is over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tree slips a straight right by One. One scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tree doesn't seem bothered though. One fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tree manages to avoid it.#CL2# Tree rushes One and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. One throws a head punch that misses. One is trying to push Tree away but Tree has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Tree lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of One backwards. Tree stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. One is pushing Tree up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tree keeps control of One as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tree tries to work over One's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. #T1# Tree scores with an uppercut up the middle. Tree digs a right hand underneath One's ribcage. One let out a lung full of air as it connected. Stalling in the clinch from Tree.

Tree receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Tree effectively controlling the action here. Tree tried to land a shot to the body but connects with One's elbow. Tree gets through One's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Tree lands a hook that snaps the head of One backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Tree. Tree missing with knees to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tree - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Tree digs a good body shot into Karamitroudis's ribs. Tree fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Tree tests Karamitroudis's chin there with a solid looking shot.#KD2# Tree moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Karamitroudis goes down! Oh Karamitroudis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Karamitroudis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Karamitroudis seems to have got his legs back now. Karamitroudis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Karamitroudis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tree is one step ahead there. Karamitroudis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Karamitroudis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tree is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.#T4# Tree not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Karamitroudis is on top in guard.

Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Tree's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

#CUT2#It looks like Mat Tree has been cut. Ement throws a head kick that misses. Ement slips under a jab from Tree. Tree tries to clinch but Ement moves out of range. #TD2# Ement fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tree to the ground. Ement is now in Tree's guard. Ement controls from within his opponent's guard. Tree preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ement controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ement is looking to work some ground and pound but Tree has wrist control. Ement postures up in Tree's guard and throws a big left but Tree blocks it. Ement controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Let's hope that Ement has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ement shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tree but Tree pushes him off and we're back to square one. A nice leg kick lands there from Ement. Tree fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ement manages to avoid it. Ement buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tree scores with a nice head shot. Ement throws a shot from downtown. Tree moves away and avoids it.#T2# Tree misses with a looping left. Ement throws out a counter right but Tree avoids it with no problem. Ement will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tree seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Tree lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ement at a distance.
#TD2# Ement fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tree sprawls well initially but Ement persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ement looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tree is trying to stand back up but Ement is controlling him

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tree defends it well. Still in half guard, Ement seems content to control.#T3##SUB2# Ement is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tree is not content to let Ement control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Possibly, maybe, no Ement has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ement is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tree's shoulder. That is not cool. Ement throws an elbow but Tree slips to the side and avoids it well. Ement in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Tree is being controlled here. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ement misses with a leg kick #CL# and Tree moves into the clinch. Tree cracks Ement with a nice body shot. Ement misses with a punch on the inside.

Ement lands a head kick. Tree smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Tree looks to land a right hand but Ement moved out of range. Ement raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Ement misses with a head kick.
A little feinted left hand from Tree on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Tree dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tree swings for the body but Ement moves out of range.
Tree tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ement was well out of range. Poor timing from Tree. Ement drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tree defends it well. Ement circles away from the clinch attempt.

Nice body punch from Tree. #TD2# Tree tries to sprawl but Johnson drives through with a takedown into half guard.#ES# Tree kicks Johnson off and gets back to his feet. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Tree sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. #CL2# Tree gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Johnson has a couple of punches blocked by Tree.
