Champlain wants to control from the top but Masa keeps moving. Champlain slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Masa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Masa struggling a bit here. Masa is looking to reverse the position. Champlain throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Champlain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Champlain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Masa struggling a bit here. Masa tries to buck Champlain off but Champlain is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Champlain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Masa keeps working. Champlain tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Champlain happy to just control the position for now. #T1# Masa struggling a bit here. Champlain staying calm. Masa avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Champlain. Champlain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Masa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Masa passes Molotov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Masa is trying to control the action in half guard but Molotov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Masa is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. #SUB2# Masa in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Molotov tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Masa!
