#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Nobalski scores with a takedown into Jones's guard. Nobalski wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.#SU2# Nobalski gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Joe Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nobalski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Nobalski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Nobalski tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jones is looking to chop away at Nobalski's legs. Nobalski fails to land the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Nobalski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nobalski looks winded!#SUB# Nobalski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jones has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nobalski is looking to defend but Jones has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nobalski! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nobalski dives in and grabs Austin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Austin pushes down on Nobalski's head and hops out. Austin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nobalski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Austin somewhat. Nobalski fails in his attempt to clinch. #TD# Austin dives in and scores a takedown into Nobalski's guard. Austin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #SUB2# Nobalski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Austin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Austin quickly recovers to half guard. Nobalski passes the guard and advances to mount! Austin prevents Nobalski from taking his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Nobalski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nobalski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Austin tries to score with some ground and pound. Nobalski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Austin controlling the position from side mount. Nobalski can't do much from the bottom here. #T3# Nobalski is not content to let Austin control the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. He's pushed Austin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nobalski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Austin tries to avoid it but Nobalski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Austin to the ground. Austin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #CL# Austin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nobalski, pushing him back against the cage. Austin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nobalski pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nobalski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Austin tries to avoid it but Nobalski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Austin to the ground. Nobalski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.#T3##SUB2# Nobalski is working to tighten his grip on Austin's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Austin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nobalski is really squeezing tight and eventually Austin passes out! Nobalski breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Diaz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nobalski is in Diaz's guard. Nobalski content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Nobalski from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
