#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mariano Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz connects with a right hand. Fighter shakes it off. Diaz getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Fighter swinging wildly here.
Diaz cracks Fighter with a right hand to the side of the head. Diaz staying out of range there. Diaz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Fighter with a body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter misses with a looping right. Fighter sets himself, and Diaz steps forward looking for the clinch! Fighter avoids it this time. Diaz lands with a nice combination. Fighter backs away looking to recover. Fighter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fighter is looking for a counter combo.#T1# Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fighter moves away. A looping hook to the body misses from Diaz. Fighter does a little dance to reset his feet. Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fighter manages to avoid it. Fighter tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fighter misses with a low kick. A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Diaz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Fighter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fighter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Diaz checks it well. Diaz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fighter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.#T2# Fighter misses with a wild combination.
Fighter tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diaz lands a head shot. Fighter throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.

and Diaz counters with a straight right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fighter throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range. Diaz throws a counter combo. Diaz closes the distance and lands a one-two. Diaz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Diaz cracks Fighter with an open hand slap. Fighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. #T3# Diaz digs a good body shot into Fighter's ribs. Fighter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Diaz jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It seemed like Diaz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Diaz connects with a body shot. Fighter takes one to the chin there. Fighter slips a jab from Diaz. Fighter appears to be looking for a big counter. Diaz thuds a left hand into Fighter's body.#T4# Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaz jabs Fighter to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jab by Diaz. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fighter throws a body shot but no joy. Fighter walks into a left hand. Fighter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Diaz lands a nice looking body shot.
Diaz scores with a three punch combo!

Oh Fighter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Diaz moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Fighter! Diaz continues to tee off on Fighter, landing with a left and a right! Diaz connects with a right hand that leaves Fighter sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Diaz!
