De Vries stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. De Vries lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. De Vries lands an elbow just above Starline 's eye. De Vries lands a nice knee to the body. Starline looks winded! Starline's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! De Vries lands a nice elbow. De Vries lands with a short head shot on the inside. De Vries softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! A hook to the body from De Vries.

#R1# Steel thows a left - swing and a miss! A little feinted left hand from De Vries on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. De Vries lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. We've been hearing reports that De Vries has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Steel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and De Vries counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. De Vries takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Steel lands with a cross. #CUT2#It looks like Timo De Vries has been cut. Steel misses the shot to the body. Steel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. De Vries is looking for a counter combo. De Vries slips a straight right by Steel. An attempted straight right counter from De Vries misses the target. De Vries avoids the head kick by Rider.
Rider throws a wild body kick that De Vries sees coming a mile off. A nice side step and De Vries releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Rider pivots, looking for a leg kick but De Vries is out of range and Rider settles back down. De Vries now looks to counter with a shot at the body. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De Vries has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Rider misses with an uppercut

#R1# Heracles slips a jab from De Vries. Heracles throws a hook but De Vries blocks it. Good standup being displayed there by Heracles as he connects with a hook. De Vries throws a looping overhand right but Heracles ducks down to avoid it. Heracles takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's better than De Vries was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#SUB# De Vries working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. De Vries scores with a jab. Ottoman acknowledges it with a nod of the head. De Vries cracks Ottoman with an open hand slap. Ottoman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. De Vries ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. De Vries scores with a nice right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ottoman, as that shot connected.

Ottoman throws out a loose jab but De Vries uses good head movement to avoid it. De Vries clobbers Ottoman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ottoman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Lie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Vries. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lie trying to control the position from guard on top but De Vries is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB# De Vries is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lie is aware though and is defending well. De Vries managing to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lie tries to stand but De Vries is controlling from the bottom. #T1# De Vries keeping moving, preventing Lie from controlling successfully. #SUB# Lie is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but De Vries has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle.
