#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Damndam closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davydenkov quickly recovers to half guard. Damndam thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davydenkov's head. Davydenkov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Damndam with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Damndam throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Damndam trying to control the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Damndam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#T1# The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Viktor Davydenkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as Damndam blocks the leg kick.
Davydenkov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Damndam now looks to counter with a shot at the body.#CL2# Damndam pushes Davydenkov up against the cage in a clinch.#TD2# Damndam turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Damndam manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davydenkov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Damndam controlling his opponent. Davydenkov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davydenkov tries to get out of the position.#T2# Damndam lands a heavy elbow. Damndam breaks from Davydenkov's wrist control and lands an elbow. Damndam lands a couple of good shots and Davydenkov has given up his back, trying to escape the position!#SUB2# Damndam working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Davydenkov is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Damndam has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Davydenkov taps out!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davydenkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pierre moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Viktor Davydenkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davydenkov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pierre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davydenkov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Davydenkov tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pierre manages to circle out of the way. Pierre throws a head kick but Davydenkov moves out of range.
Davydenkov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pierre back to the cage. Davydenkov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CUT#It looks like George Pierre has been cut.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Pierre is looking for a takedown. Pierre tries to break the clinch but Davydenkov is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davydenkov blocks an uppercut.
#TD2# Pierre is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Davydenkov can't fight it off and eventually Pierre manages to take the fight to the floor. Davydenkov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Davydenkov is looking to stand back up but Pierre counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Davydenkov. #T1##REVR# Pierre content to control rather than advance. Nice strikes from Pierre there. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Davydenkov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Pierre looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #SU2# Pierre stands up out of the half guard. #CL2# Pierre moves into the clinch. Pierre tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Pierre tries to break the clinch but Davydenkov is controlling the position. Pierre is looking to take this one to the mat.#TD2# Pierre has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Davydenkov regains guard immediately. #T3##SU2# Pierre stands up from Davydenkov's guard - Pierre perhaps looking for a knockout. Davydenkov throws a lazy uppercut
#CL2# and Pierre counters by clinching up. Pierre is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Davydenkov to keep the fight standing. Viktor Davydenkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Pierre. Pierre has a couple of punches blocked by Davydenkov.
Pierre is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Pierre's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Pierre wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Davydenkov is pressed up against the cage. Pierre has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Davydenkov down to the mat. Davydenkov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pierre with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Davydenkov to score with a decent uppercut.#TD2# Pierre feints and as Davydenkov raises his hands in defense, Pierre changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pierre looks winded! Davydenkov trying to keep a closed guard but Pierre is proving a slippery customer.
Pierre engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.#R2##TD2# Pierre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davydenkov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#SUB2# Pierre goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davydenkov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pierre's guard! Nice work there by Davydenkov! Pierre pulls Davydenkov in close to his closed guard and prevents Davydenkov from doing any damage or advancing position.#SUB2# Pierre working for a triangle but Davydenkov defends it easily.

Pierre is not content to let Davydenkov control the position. Pierre is positioning himself well to prevent Davydenkov advancing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
