#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hollins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Omnikov pinned against the cage. Omnikov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hollins fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Omnikov tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hollins manages to circle out of the way. Hollins dodges the punch combination from Omnikov.
Hollins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Omnikov defends it nicely. Omnikov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Ruslan Omnikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxwell Hollins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hollins staying out of range there. Omnikov throws a hook to the side of Hollins's head but Hollins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hollins ducks under a wild hook from Omnikov. We've been hearing good reports from Omnikov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.#SUB2# Hollins swings around for an armbar but Omnikov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hollins's guard. Hollins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Omnikov is controlling him. Omnikov sitting in guard here, content to control. Hollins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hollins is fighting to maintain full guard but Omnikov has managed to sneak the leg through. #T3# Omnikov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hollins can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Omnikov is trying to maintain the position but Hollins is very close to passing his half guard. Omnikov is trying to get back to full guard. Omnikov is working for an escape here. Moicano tries to break the clinch but Omnikov is controlling the position. Omnikov displaying some good clinch control by pressing Moicano up against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Moicano. Omnikov has Moicano pushed against the cage. Omnikov struggles to land a body shot inside as Moicano controls his hands.

Hamzah jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Omnikov walks away with a smile on his face. Hamzah gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Omnikov tries to score with a low kick but Hamzah moves his leg out of the way.#CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Hamzah tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hamzah jumps guard but Omnikov stands there with Hamzah around his waist. Hamzah gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
