The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan throws a right and a left that Datass avoids nicely.
Datass looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #CUT2#It looks like Tap Datass has been cut.
Rogan dips to his left and cracks Datass with an uppercut!
Rogan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rogan looks for the body kick but Datass saw that one coming.
Datass pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rogan is out of range and Datass settles back down.
Datass dodges the punch combination from Rogan.
Datass throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogan's waist but Rogan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Datass off to one side.
Rogan and Datass are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Rogan throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Datass into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Rogan knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Datass gets a takedown into half guard.
Datass is trying to control. Sanches wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Datass uses his free foot to push down on Sanches's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanches.
Datass avoids the attempt from Sanches to control.#SUB#
Datass is working for a guillotine from mount but Sanches frees his head quite easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanches regains half guard.
Sanches is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #T1#

Datass content to control rather than advance.
Datass seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanches does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
