The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee dives in for a single leg takedown but gg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A little jabbing left from gg on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lee tries for a takedown but gg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee throws a wild body kick that gg sees coming a mile off.
Lee misses with a few strikes there.
gg tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
gg feints the counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but gg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
gg uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
gg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee. #T1#
Lee shoots in but gg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from gg! But no joy.
gg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

gg has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lee after a bit of a struggle. #BC#

gg changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.

gg wants to take the fight to the mat but Lee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.#TD2#
gg gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

gg postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

gg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lee is striking from the bottom but gg uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

gg is nestled in close to Lee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#T4#

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee tries to kick gg off but gg keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lee wants to get back to full guard.
Lee flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
gg winds up and cracks Lee with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. gg connects with a nice short shot to Lee's temple.
gg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
gg is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.
gg is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.
Lee is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And gg tries to counter it with a takedown but Lee pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lee goes for a double leg but gg avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as gg continues to drive forward.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts gg as he jumps to the side.

gg lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

gg has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

gg turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
gg grinds an elbow into Lee's temple.
Lee takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

gg lands a strong strike to the head of Lee. That's dazed him! gg looking to finish here. Lee is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - gg lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
