and Gilmore counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gilmore throws a series of strikes that have Mazini backpedaling.
Gilmore darts in looking for a takedown but Mazini gets double underhooks and turns Gilmore into the cage.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mazini working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Mazini is working to tighten his grip on Gilmore's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gilmore has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mazini is really squeezing tight and eventually Gilmore passes out! Mazini breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Hashempour drops Gilmore with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gilmore looks back up at him and smiles so Hashempour waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
