Chaos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chaos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Chaos lands an uppercut. A right hand to the body from Chaos.
Chaos lands a right hand. Chaos can't find room to land a body shot as Santos controls the action.
Chaos lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Santos backwards. A right handed body shot lands from Chaos.
Santos is breathing heavily. Chaos lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Chaos softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chaos scores with a hook to the body. Chaos lands a hook to the side of the head.#ROC2#Santos is rocked! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Myers misses. Myers throws a hook but Santos blocks it. Myers throws a big shot that misses. Santos changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Myers tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Santos tries to counter by closing the distance. Myers misses with a left hand #TD2# and Santos counters with a takedown into side control. Santos is staying tight to Myers's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Myers wants to get back to his feet but Santos drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee asks Santos politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Santos prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Myers is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Santos controls the position.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Myers is pushing Santos's head away, looking to escape. Santos manages to hold on to the position though. Santos has knee on belly and moves into mount. Santos controlling from mount. Santos is continuing to stall. Myers really wants to buck Santos off and get back to his feet. Santos content just to control the position here. #T3# Myers tries to buck Santos off but he can't manage it. Santos controlling the position easily from mount. Santos won't let Myers get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. #T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Santos controlling his opponent. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez goes for a double leg but Santos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Santos continues to drive forward. Alvarez fails with a takedown attempt. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Santos content to slow the pace in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Alvarez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Santos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alvarez to the mat. Alvarez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Santos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Santos wanted to stand there but Alvarez had control of the position. Santos throws a big elbow that misses. #T1# Santos controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Alvarez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Santos stopping the sweep attempt from Alvarez. Santos looking to pass the guard. Alvarez keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos looking to pass the guard. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Alvarez looks to land a right hand but Santos moved out of range. Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet. Santos is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Alvarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alvarez misses with a body shot.
#TD# Alvarez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Santos is trying to get back to full guard. Santos is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We've been hearing that Alvarez has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Santos is doing well to control the position and prevent Alvarez from advancing to side control. Santos regains full guard. Nicely done. Alvarez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santos is proving hard to escape from. #T3##SUB2# Alvarez is sitting in close to Santos's body. Santos has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alvarez is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alvarez is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Santos.
