McCoy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brannigan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Thompson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Faraday dips to his left and cracks McCoy with an uppercut!#CUT2#It looks like Hank McCoy has been cut.
McCoy needs to keep his hands up - Faraday had a free shot at his head there.

and Faraday counters with a one-two to the body.
Faraday avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Faraday connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McCoy momentarily.

McCoy walks straight into a right hand from Faraday - that's dropped him! Faraday jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save McCoy from any more punishment! McCoy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
