#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#TD# Singh drives through with a takedown into guard. #ES2# Kersikov pushes Singh off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kersikov throws a sloppy head kick and Singh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kersikov tries for a takedown but Singh circles away easily and Singh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Singh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kersikov avoids it really well and circles away. And Kersikov tries to counter it with a takedown but Singh pushes his down on his head and steps out. Singh fails with a takedown attempt. Kersikov unleashes a big counter combination but Singh bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Singh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kersikov as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arman Singh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Singh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kersikov defends it nicely. It seemed like Kersikov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.#T1# Singh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Singh is looking to clinch but Kersikov is avoiding it.
Singh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kersikov closes the distance and clinches up with Singh, looking for a takedown. Kersikov pushes Singh against the cage but Singh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#TD2# Kersikov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Singh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kersikov tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard. Kersikov passes easily into side control. Nice work. Singh can't do much from the bottom here. Kersikov landing strikes. #T2##SU2# Kersikov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. #TD2# Kersikov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kersikov lands in his opponent's guard. Kersikov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kersikov tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singh trying to keep a closed guard but Kersikov is proving a slippery customer.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kersikov working some strikes from top position. Kersikov works a leg free and moves into half guard. #T3# Kersikov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #SUB2# Kersikov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Singh sees it coming and defends easily. Kersikov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.#SUB2# Kersikov seems to be working for a kimura but Singh defends the submission attempt. Kersikov sitting and controlling from the half guard. #T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Singh works his way to full guard. Good work. Kersikov's corner is telling him to maintain position. Singh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Let's hope that Kersikov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kersikov preventing the sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SU2# Kersikov stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kersikov! Singh is out on his feet! Kersikov rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Singh is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Singh is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
