Dixon rushes Kersikov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kersikov has had enough of the clinch but Dixon keeps him there for the moment.
Kersikov is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Dixon is keeping busy.

Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon thuds his right hand into Perkins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Dixon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Perkins tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dixon manages to circle out of the way.
Dixon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perkins.
Dixon lands with a shot to the body.
Dixon lands with an overhand left.
Dixon cracks Perkins with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Perkins tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dixon pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Perkins is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
