The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearce looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dixon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pearce was well out of range. Poor timing from Dixon.
Nice uppercut there from Dixon.
Dixon jabs at Pearce's body.
Dixon misses with the combination.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches.
Pearce is trying to break the clinch but Dixon has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Pearce drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dixon lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Dixon lands a hook that snaps the head of Pearce backwards.
Pearce is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Still in the clinch, Dixon scores with a nice short uppercut.

Dixon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Pearce fails to pull guard.
A right hook to the body lands for Dixon.

Pearce jumps guard but Dixon stands there with Pearce around his waist. Pearce gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dixon creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Pearce with a big uppercut! Pearce tries to clinch up but Dixon pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Pearce to the mat! Pearce covers up and Dixon unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
