Varengir gets caught napping as Rack dives in and scores a takedown. Varengir manages to retain guard.
Rack is in close to Varengir's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Rack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Varengir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB#
Varengir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Varengir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily #KD#
and Hawk counters with a series of strikes that sends Varengir to the canvas! Hawk follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight! #ROC#Varengir is rocked!

Hawk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hawk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Hawk counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Varengir off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Hawk follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Varengir was out before he hit the floor.
