Andersen cracks De Valle with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends De Valle tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Andersen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! De Valle is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nadeem Andersen!
In his post fight interview, Nadeem Andersen gave a big smile as he said 'The King of the division is here to stay, nobody will take this belt off me,fellow 145ers, be prepared to lose your cognitive abilities, cause you will have to take a big amount of punishment if you ever step inside the octagon with me. No luck for Fuk with that takedown attempt.
Fuk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from De Valle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from De Valle is defended easily by Fuk.
De Valle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fuk avoids it really well and circles away.
Ai Fuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spiro De Valle.
Fuk thows a left - swing and a miss!
Fuk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. De Valle tries to avoid it but Fuk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag De Valle to the ground. De Valle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
