The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Alarcon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pardi loads up on a big right hand but Alarcon slips the punch.
Pardi tries to clinch up.
Pardi throws out a loose jab but Alarcon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pardi cracks a nice hook into Alarcon's ribs.

Pardi is trying to trip Alarcon. He has hold of a leg but Alarcon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pardi persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Pardi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pardi is looking to work some ground and pound but Alarcon has wrist control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
