Dawn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dawn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Connors takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connors is trying to control Dawn's posture but Dawn avoids it.
Connors is looking for a sweep.
Connors is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Dawn grinds an elbow into Connors's temple.
Connors is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dawn lands some shots froms side control.
Connors tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dawn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dawn working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB#
Dawn has an Americana. Connors didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dawn is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dawn hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
