#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Surra throws a sloppy head kick and Lahim moves out of range easily. Lahim looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Some wild striking there from Lahim.
Surra is looking to counter the offense by Lahim and move into the clinch. Surra takes a swing at Lahim's ribcage but misses. Surra scores with a nice right hand.
#TD2# Lahim gets a double leg takedown into Surra's guard. Surra has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Lahim stopping the sweep attempt from Surra. Surra has control of Lahim's left arm, preventing Lahim from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Surra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lahim's guard. #REVR# Surra stays in close to Lahim's body and controls the position. Surra advances to half guard. #T1# Surra stalling. Surra thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lahim's head. Surra moves nicely into side control. Surra controls the position.#SU# Surra decides to take the fight back to the feet. #TD# Surra drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Surra controls from within his opponent's guard. #T2# Lahim lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Surra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lahim manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Surra will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Surra passes into half guard. Surra scoring with strikes to the body and head. #T3# Surra has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Surra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lahim looks a forlorn figure.
Surra landing strikes from the mount. Surra lands a big shot there that rocks Lahim but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Surra controlling from mount. #T4# Lahim takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Lahim should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Surra looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Surra lands a heavy elbow. Surra breaks from Lahim's wrist control and lands an elbow. Surra lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This has been an exciting period of action! Surra tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chico Surra dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2##TD# Surra manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lahim on his heels. He'll look to pass Lahim's guard now, I'm sure. Surra not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Surra pushing down on Lahim's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. #SUB# Surra is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lahim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Surra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Surra maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lahim could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Surra has cracked it and Lahim is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Surra!
