Smif appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Murray throws a looping overhand right but Smif ducks down to avoid it. Murray rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smif moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smif is looking to counter punch. Murray steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smif. Smif walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Murray waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smif. Jab, jab by Murray - just one landing. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Murray. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murray connects with a crisp jab. Murray throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Murray lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Smif ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murray moves away. Smif ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Smif takes one to the side of the head.
A swing and a miss from Murray. Murray lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smif circles away quickly and effectively. Smif was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Murray scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smif doesn't seem bothered though. #T2# Murray gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Smif points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Murray wakes up just in time to hear Smif thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

It looked like Murray wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Murray avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Murray takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#CUT2#It looks like James Murray has been cut. A jab from Murray does it's job there. Hackl with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Murray to score with a decent uppercut. Murray scores with a nice right hand.
Hackl misses with a straight left. We've been told by Murray's head coaches at Canadian Combat Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Beatty had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Murray defends it easily. Beatty throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Murray leaves Big with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Murray looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Big connects with a body shot that sends Murray's belly button to the back.#TD2# Murray drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Big bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Murray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Big tries to avoid it but Murray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Big to the ground. Big escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A good leg kick by Big. Murray dives in for a single leg takedown but Big sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Murray stuffs the takedown attempt from Big. Big gets slowly back to his feet. Murray fails with a takedown attempt. Luka Big has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Murray.#T1# Big throws a nice looking combination but Murray bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.#TD2# Murray shoots in and bounces Big off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. #R1# Wang stuffs the takedown attempt from Murray. Murray gets slowly back to his feet. Murray misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wang! But no joy. Wang bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Murray's head backwards. Murray throws a head kick that Wang semi-blocks.
Wang takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.#CUT2#It looks like James Murray has been cut.#KD2# Wang drops his shoulder and cracks Murray with a huge uppercut! Murray goes down! Can Wang finish him?
#ROC2#Murray is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wang stopping the sweep attempt from Murray. Oh Murray is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wang wants to stand but Murray has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Murray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Murray seems to have got his legs back now. Murray pulls Wang in close to prevent any damage. Wang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
